We are a team of Teach For India fellows in GBHS Himayathnagar (Amberpet). Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for children to learn and play.

Given the large strength (1500 students), limited space and lack of resources in our school, it is increasingly becoming difficult to improve student outcomes and provide facilities for students to learn and play joyfully,

Here is an opportunity for you to give these lovely children the school they deserve.

Where are these children from?

 They are a bunch of young teenagers ranging from age group 9 to 17 ( classes 6 to 10) .   They come from 3 low income community next to our school .  Community violence like alcoholism and abuse is very common in  context to our children and hence everbody  potrays a wide range of character traits . The school however has not been able to produce good results during thier 10^th board exams and thats majorly due to lack of exposure and oppurtunities .

Why should you help?

As they are in their teens ,they are exposed to a lot of things in their community  in a wrong way. We are trying our best to channelize their energy and knowledge into skill development and holistic education for these children  which will help them throughout their lifetime. Even though the teachers are dedicated but they lack resources which could possibly lead to more better learning outcomes in the school. Exposure and Access is something that they are completely unaware of, here we need your intervention to make this happen.

We are trying to raise 1,00,000 for the high school and that will be used for :

• A projector – 20,000
• Field trips – (trip to old age home , juvenile home , kidihou )– 25000
• Sports equipment – 30000
• Maintainence fees to the sweeper and the toilet ayamma – 1000 per month
• Classroom shelves for library – 3500 *2
