Help 17-year-old Sandhya battle a severe blood disorder

For the last 13 years Sandhya has been battling a severe blood disease called Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)

What is ITP
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a disorder that can lead to easy or excessive bruising and bleeding. The bleeding results from unusually low levels of platelets — the cells that help blood clot. Symptoms include excessive bleeding and bruising.

The only treatment for her now is surgery which costs around 2 lakh Rs. Sandhya has a twin sister who she is extremely close to. While her sister is fine, Sandhya needs our help.

Unfortunately, Sandhya's father is a daily wage earner and does not have the funds to afford her treatment and end his daughter's suffering.

Your contribution can help Sandhya get the treatment she deserves.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for all the wonderful support you have shown my daughter Sandhya. I have some good news to share with you today, she successfully underwent the surgery on Friday, 15th December and is responding well after the treatment. The doctors suggest that she can be discharged by tomorrow.

She is eating properly, is moving around and is really happy. Seeing her happy makes me and her mother really happy. The doctors have advised her to take rest for a few months and then she can continue with her education from the next year. She has completed her 10th grade and will be joining 11th soon.

All this would not have been possible with your support. You came as a blessing to us when we needed support the most. I hope that all your wishes are fulfilled.

Thank you once again.

Regards,
Shant Kumar,
Sandhya's father.
