India’s literacy rate has increased six times since the end of the British rule — from 12% to 74% in 2011, yet, India has the world’s largest population of illiterates.  India is home of largest population of illiterate adults in world – 287 million, amounting to 37% of the global total. As far as primary education goes we still need to do lots. 1 in 4 children of school-going age is out of school in our country. There are 10.1 million child labourers between 5-14 years in India. A huge vacuum still exists in primary education area in India.

Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 or in short Right to Education Act 2009 is an enactment done by the Government to provide free education to Children between the age of 6-14. However a lot of initiatives has to be taken both from the Government and Non Governmental organisations to achieve this aim. That said each one of us is responsible to our less privileged brethren and sisters of our country.

Samvitmarg Educational Trust established in 2015 by a bunch of youngsters to help the school going underprivileged children by providing educational fees assistance / scholarships and our focus point being school going children. That said we do not neglect other students.

We believe that by providing quality education for every single child is the only way of achieving our country’s developmental goals, as sustainable development can begin only with education.

Samvitmarg’s aim is to support education and provide equal opportunities to the under-privileged children. Individually we may be assisting only a few children year on year because of restricted capital from our own sources. Hence we would like to create a Corpus Fund and issue educational assistance / scholarships to the children.

We have attached few Scholarships applications received by us and where we provided educational assistance to the children.
