Akhil, a 23-year-old young adult, has been paralyzed due to Rare Neurological Disorder (GB Syndrome). He deserves to live a long life just like the rest of us.

Akhil is a young adult, with a lot of energy and great aspirations for life! He is from a farmer family and is dedicated to supporting his mother and father. He is a hard-working individual and during his final engineering year he created a face recognition app to capture attendance. He was summoned by his professors and fellow students for the work he accomplished. He is a focused individual at work, a great team player being always there to support the team. He took great strides to help people, during the process he took less care of himself.
On Dec 18th 2021, he was diagnosed with GB syndrome, a rare, autoimmune disorder in which a person's own immune system damages the nerves, causing muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis. His auto immune system failed him, and he is completely paralyzed. He is currently in ICU, struggling to breath on his own and his heart rate is unstable. Their family's fragile financial situation and resource scarcity is threatening further to support everyday hospital costs of Indian Rupees 55,000/Day for ICU and the medical injections.
In our society, we need dedicated and loyal individuals like Akhil. Akhil would have taken great lengths to do what it takes to become a pioneer in the society. Only with your generous support, he will continue to get the medical support to stay and fight to live. He is responding and there is hope that he will regain his muscle strength to breath on his own and a stable heartbeat to live. This will happen only if he gets the full medical treatment.
