    This fundraiser will benefit

    Phoenix Star International Cricket Academy

    from Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Phoenix Star International Cricket Academy headquartered in Chennai strongly believes in giving back to society. After intense discussion it decided to choose its own domain to help the underprivileged.

How many of you have seen kids play cricket in the streets, he or she still play when they are an adult, they still play when they have to be a responsible parent  and still play when his kids play the same cricket. Its because they have the passion but donot know to setup a Career in the field of Cricket.

We are exploring the oppurtunities available. Phoenix Star ICA will be a responsibke mentor for thse who want a Cricketing Career. Focus in raising their standard of Interest at every stage.

Why The Arena of Cricket? Simply because we have a huge reach in the 32 districts of Tamil Nadu. Phoenix would like to use this wonderful network to identify potential cricketers from underprivileged backgrounds, and assist them  in their growth financially and logistically. In other words Phoenix wants to be a Nanban (Genuine Friend) to these talented yet Financially deprived.

Action Plan:

To start off with the Cricket Mitra Program, we are looking at identifying talent in the following categories.
•Boys- Under 12, Under 16
•Girls- Under 12, Under 16 and Under 21

We enable the underprivileged and disabled to play Cricket through the funds we raise from all charity oriented people.

The aim is to organize tournaments in respective categories like the blind, disabled children. We choose talented wards and train them, support them and mentor them to the national level or identify a suitable career.

In the first 4 months of the initiative, Phoenix would be focusing on 5 Districts in and around Chennai. After this period we at Phoenix would expand this awesome initiative to other districts. We hope to scale up our program to about 20 Districts within a year. If all goes well, Phoenix would ideally like to implement his program across 32 districts in Tamil Nadu within 3 years.

Mode of Operation:

Phoenix will conduct Selection trails for under privileged cricketers across various localities in Chennai (initially) and identify potential candidates who would be screened by our Technical committee. The screening would include Game based tests, Fitness tests, interest & attitude Evaluation. Five cricketers would selected from each district. These Five cricketers will be sponsored with kits, Educational Scholarships, access to Top Tournaments for a year. The candidates who exhibit growth will be sponsored beyond the tenure as well. The candidates will have to clear the Screening Criteria to selected.
This Model would be repeated across the various districts in a phased Manner. We hope to sponsor about 80- 100 cricket aspirants within a year of the program Inception.

For the Sponsor:

Phoenix will provide a regular updates on the usage of Funds and testimonials to ensure Transparency & Accountability. Supporting materials like videos and photos would be provided to ensure the sponsor is duly satisfied. Phoenix views sponsors as partners, Co-Initiators and Generous contributors to help those who genuinely need help.

Who knows! one of these could become the next Sachin, Dhoni, Virat or Anjum Chopra. You can be assured your funds are in Safe hands.
