Fellow Little Rockers!
In its quest to attain greater heights in education, Little Rock has embarked on a journey to improve infrastructure by constructing a brand new building. Due to unforeseen circumstances, they have fallen short on budget for the same. It has therefore become imperative that we contribute to make this vision of our alma mater a reality.Here is the building as of today:
What’s the building for?
This building has a basement for parking of vehicles, the ground floor and first floor to house a section (Classes VII and VIII) with accessories like Library and Computer Centre, AV Rooms, Mini Conference Halls etc. This will ease the pressure of building space in the existing school areas.
The second floor will the new Auditorium named after our Founder Late Dr. C.T. Abraham. This full-fledged galleried auditorium will have 1000+ seats with all modern equipment and PA systems.
Area and Estimate:
The total floor area of the building will be 98565 Sq. ft area. The total cost is estimated to be around Rs 10 crores. The project is expected to be completed by the early part of the next academic year – June 2017.
Fund-raising:
Our gracious teachers have contributed one month’s salary for this project. The present parents, in response to an appeal, have contributed to the tune of over Rs 1 crore. The alumni have already contributed around Rs 25 lakhs as of now.
What can 'we' do?
We, the alumni, have to spread the word as effectively through as many means as possible. You would have that sense of satisfaction of having repaid some of your indebtedness to your alma mater.
