    This fundraiser will benefit

    Guddu Panwar

    from New Delhi, Delhi

I visited Delhi in June 2017 for a business meet and stayed at this humble guesthouse -"Bed n Chai" in Greater Kailash, situated in the South Of Delhi. There I met this young lad by the name of Guddu Panwar. He was chatty and had a great sense of humor. At the breakfast table, he shared his story with us, which was inspiring and had a great impact on me.

Guddu is in his 20's and lives a life that's challenging - he was diagnosed with a critical condition of the spine (spina bifida) when he was a child. This led to him becoming an amputee.

As he grew older he realized that there was very little potential if he stayed back in his village, Kolti, a remote area somewhere in the foothills of the Himalayas. At the same time moving out of his village, meant working outside the comfort of people who loved and understood him. Despite knowing that he took the brave step of moving to Delhi, in order to stand on his own. Battling all the hardships and insecurities, he continues to make his presence felt in this world as he participates in small ways as a leader in "Disabilities Awareness Campaigns" motivating others with disabilities, all over Delhi and also overseas in Vietnam and Cambodia.

His prized moment was at the "New Delhi Marathon" on 25th February 2018 when he met Sachin Tendulkar, a former Indian cricketer and a role model for many. Sachin later commented on Guddu in a tweet commending his inspiring spirit.

His dream is to invite people from all over to experience the culture, the lands and the beauty of his Village - Kolti, as well as create jobs for the people who live there, so they can achieve their own goals too!
With your humble contribution, we can build a basic toilet, shower, and a kitchen.

I'm just helping him make his dream a reality in my own way. To know more about this project, please visit www.kolticamp.com and show your support in any way you choose.
