Help Us Provide Relief in Flood Affected Areas in Assam

🙏Help & Pray for Assam

In Assam, there is no respite from flood fury due to incessant rains and new areas have been inundated.
Over 26 lakh people are affected in the current wave of flood in 103 revenue circles in 28 districts of Assam.
The worst hit districts are Dhemaji, chirang, Dhubri and Morigaon. The state Government has set up over 300 relief camps and more than 16,000 inmates are taking shelter in the camps.
Over 87,000 hectares of cropped area have been affected due to flood. Vigil has been intensified in the Kaziranga National Park and other wildlife areas to prevent poaching as most of the parks are under water now.
A total number of 10 persons lost their lives due to flood and landslide so far. The Army, NDRF, SDRF and local people are carrying out the rescue operation. Relief materials including baby foods are being distributed in the flood hit areas.
Assam flood has damaged the lives of many this year. The loss of our people is immense and can't be healed. A small help to them at this time of crisis will help them a lot to meet their survival. Let's come together and stand by them at this tough time. We are taking a small initiative to meet some of their needs and we are also looking forward for help from the external sources too. Any kind of help in any form(money, food, clothes, sanitary napkins, etc) will be a great relief for our brothers and sisters facing flood. Please provide your help as soon as possible so that we can dobate them at the earliest.
Thank You

Please note that Milaap is waiving off the platform fees for this cause.

Dear Supporters,

We are very grateful for all your love and support.

We provided food material to 300 families which will help them at least for a week.

We are thankful to the whole staff of ALFRESCO GRAND for their full support & help, through out the process, starting from the packaging of items to accompaning us today to providing day time meal. It would have never been a success without them.

We also appreciate Suruj Thakuria presence through out the day & for guiding us in donating relief matterials to the real needy people in the remote areas of Choygaon & Palashbari.

Its tragic to see those people living a life over there with so much of difficulties where spending just one day was exhausting for us.

The smile on their face after getting the relief material was worth a watch.

We really appreciate everyone's contribution for this & specially Shanti Doley Madam for bringing out the whole idea, taking the lead & making it worth.

Here are few pictures:

Thank you once again!

We really appreciate everyone's contribution for this & specially Shanti Doley Madam for bringing out the whole idea, taking the lead & making it worth.PS : The one who still wants to shout "while helping the poor, leave the camera at home", there's one thing I'd like to tell you.

We won't keep the camera at home. We will click more pictures & record more videos on this, so that at least we could inspire 10% of the people to take such more initiatives which will help these poor & needy people. We will take the camera with us, so that we can make the world see what's happening there, what are the problems they are facing & how difficult life is over there.Criticizes are good, but you should know where, why & how to apply them.

Learn to appreciate good works.
Spread positivity. 🌸
I hope everything gets well soon.
