There are lacs of people living in various slums in Delhi NCR, and the same number of unemployed people live in these slums.
It is undeniable that covid has wreaked havoc on all of our lives, and many of us have lost our primary source of income as a result. Nonetheless, our funds have enabled us to make ends meet. But imagine if you're a daily worker who is reliant on your daily pay and you're suddenly forbidden from doing the same. All of your small savings have already evaporated.
I am Bhumika Tiwari, a social worker working for a noble cause with humari pahchan NGO. It is undeniable that covid has wreaked havoc on all of our lives, and many of us have lost our primary source of income as a result. Nonetheless, our funds have enabled us to make ends meet. But imagine if you're a daily worker who is reliant on your daily pay and you're suddenly forbidden from doing the same. All of your small savings have already evaporated.
Things will be so challenging that arranging a one-time supper will be nearly impossible. This event may have been just in our imaginations before to covid, but now that we have all encountered it, we know that such a situation may be real. This bizarre incident has undoubtedly taught us that we must be prepared for any situation at any moment.
Hamari Pahchan NGO has taken the initiative to prepare for such an unexpected event. Since 2015, this organization has been offering vocational skills to men and women in various Delhi slums. Following Covid Hamari Pahchan NGO's active engagement in the Vocal for Local program, we have offered vocational training to 1200 women, giving them the chance to make a living. The Hamari Pahchan NGO has marketed handicrafts manufactured by impoverished women all over the world. Similarly, Hamari Pahchan NGO has decided to commemorate this year.
The charity effort will last until Diwali. With the assistance of our charitable initiative, impoverished individuals will be able to make a living and have a joyous holiday season with their families.
Our organisation, or the Skill Development Project, is planning a short-term Diwali campaign. We have identified 27 slums in Delhi where this initiative would be implemented. Our company has been tasked with organising a three-day course in each cluster. We will provide trainers, raw materials, and a proper session in each of the selected clusters for these workshops. After the session, the impoverished women will be given the opportunity to earn a livelihood by selling the things they created.You can help
