The pics above are of Shadow and Vince, two dogs who had come in looking like they were not going to make it, yet with lots of TLC, dedicated caretaker and excellent medical care, they have transformed, and this is the story of all our kids, hundreds have already passed through our gates(temporary). We now need more space to provide more to our kids, more space to run, more space to play or even more space to take their time and recover from their past traumas.
After a long long struggle, we have finally acquired 1 bigha of land in Gandhinagar Gujarat, and now we are looking for support to create a happy home for all our kids, those that stay with us for their life and those who come in broken and hurt, and then recuperate, rehabilitate and gets placed in furever homes.
We want to create a place for atleast 40 furkids. This includes 30 kids in our care for adoption and 10 that we can board to make this place sustainable.
We also wish to make this place environment friendly so will want to be at least 80% solar powered.
Additionally, we have to create a good waste management system. Which will include a compost pit and in future, a way to generate gobar gas to take care of some cooking.
We have to add 5 rooms for staff, office, kitchen, storage and a bathroom.
At least 90% of the total kennels will have ac, to ensure that our dogs who comes in as pets, are comfortable and less stressed while going through the trauma of being abandoned. We also want to create a place for dogs with physical issues, like back paralysis and those that need short term treatments for mange and accidental trauma.
One of our key focus is Pet and Stray Sterilisations, we do awareness and offer help with it. A major problem that a lot of pet parents face is post op care especially for working homes, we wish to provide a place for post op care of these pets as well as strays that many feeders get done at private clinics. A major hitch is non availability of hygienic place and specialised care for such cases. We wish to provide such a place to bridge this gap.
