On 12 December 2016 Cyclone Vardah, with torrential rains and winds of up to 192 kmph, left a trail of destruction in the coastal areas of Chennai and north coastal district Tiruvallur in Tamilnadu. It affected millions people, seriously disrupted communications, levelled hundreds of thousands of homes, destroyed paddy crops and swept away livestock before weakening to a deep depression.
As per the preliminary report received from our assessment team grounded in Pulicat, there is dire need of food, dry ration, sleeping mat, blankets etc., to sustain affected families who are displaced and lost everything during the storm.
Rapid Response has started its rescue and relief operations in the worst affected areas of Chennai & Tiruvallur. To scale up our efforts, we desperately need your support. Please donate as much as possible. The funds raised here will go towards...
We request you to support this campaign. We will provide regular updates explaining how the money has spent on the ground. Thank you so much!
