About the campaign

My friend’s elder sister Arunima is diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) which is a life threatening disease. As a result of the disease she is on life-support system including ventilator and is suffering from paralysis and long-term nerve damage. She is the daughter of single mother as her father had passed away five years back and her mother is single handedly shouldering the entire responsibility of taking care of three daughters. In order to support the pressing requirement of daughters’ education, mother has already taken a loan of INR 8 Lakh from the bank in 2011.

While Arunima is undergoing treatment at Santokba Durlabji Memorial Hospital (SDMH), Jaipur, the treatment of this nature requires heavy expenditure; the family has already spent over INR Ten (10) Lakhs to the best of their ability. The hospital charges per day are costing INR 20,000/-approx. Her mother has loaned all her cash/gold in her treatment and is not left with any other resource to continue the treatment.

However, given the financial situation that they are facing currently, they are unable to bear these expenses towards hospital charges and medical facilities and they have no source left to raise any additional funds.

They require immediately as sum of INR 5,00,000 (five lakh) to continue the treatment.

I request you on their behalf to support them financially at best of your capacity.
