#LuellinLeo was 23 years old when he was diagnosed with #MultipleSclerosis in 2012.
Multiple Sclerosis or MS is a chronic disease that attacks the central nervous system, i.e. the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves, causing paralysis, loss of vision and numbness in the limbs.
To control his deteriorating condition, Luellin has to take an expensive drug called Natalizumab that costs around INR 80,000 every month. Other than this injection, additional expenses include Physiotherapy, Speech therapy and other hospitalization fees which altogether, amounts to INR 1 lakh (approx $1200) every month!
Doctors say that this needs to continue for the next 3 years which works out to INR 43 lakhs or just over $60,000. Before we raise the entire amount, we're hoping to cover his medical expenses for the next few months while we explore alternative treatment.
