The first dog I picked up from the street was when I was less than 10. Having grown up with animals, lucky enough to be loved by them, it pains me to see the life that strays lead all over the world. Unfortunately in India the situation is pretty dire, with so many strays. ResQ, an NGO based in Pune has been doing amazing work to help strays through medical support, sterilisations, anti rabies vaccination drives and also helping solve human animal conflicts. I've seen them work first hand and both our current dogs were originally rescued by them. But they are already overwhelmed and need more funds to continue doing their amazing work.
This year I am running a marathon in support of ResQ. Please donate some amount, even the smallest change will help change an animal's life.

Here is a quick update.
Today I took another cat for sterilization - a male cat, so it was a quick snip. This is the fifth cat since I moved back to India! Oh, and I ran 10 km before doing that, so well on track people!
