Hello everyone, it's Anjali Dhillon. I love to tell you that I interacted with Hamari Pahchan NGO, I start working with this particular NGO as a volunteer. As I go through the sites and different social pages of NGO I realise about how good this NGO is. And also get to know about the different sides of this beauty world one where we get almost everything we need and still being upset because of some problems which can easily be solved with just se efforts , I know most of you gonna say that your problems are small for me because I'm not at your place, but you should think about the other side of the world where peoples are not getting food to eat , women don't have periods supplies and the talented people are not about to succeed becouse of the high education fees. And I also know that it's not your mistake that these peoples got this type of problems but as my grandpa says "help needy, so that at the time you feel useless that help can remind you the good in you".
Donate if you can.☺️

On a global level, at least 500 million women and girls lack adequate facilities for menstrual hygiene management. More than 77% of menstruating women in India use an old cloth, which is often reused, ashes, newspapers, dried leaves and husk sand during periods.

Lack of knowledge as to how one should maintain their hygiene during menstruation can cause problems with long term effects. Underprivileged women who do not have access, means or the knowledge regarding the same suffer during these hard times and hence the TABOO remains.

I'm Divya, a social worker, working with Hamari Pahchan NGO, I've been working towards the cause of menstrual hygiene from a very long time. It interests me because I want to educate people on the topic. I want the underprivileged women of society to have a proper menstrual hygiene so that there are no long-term effects, they don't get affected by skin diseases etc.

On World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Hamari Pahchan NGO distributed Sanitary Kits and it came in limelight on Republic Bharat news channel:

After conducting a survey in the slums, it was discovered that there are women who are suffering from various problems due to non-maintenance of their menstrual health.

I'll be distributing Sanitary Kits to these underprivileged women so that they have the proper means and access to good hygiene.

Hamari Pahchan NGO has distributed more than 30,000 Sukhad Kits in 2021 and their aim is to distribute at least 50,000 Sukhad Kits to women. These kits would include 24 packets of Sanitary Pads 6 packets of Soap and disposable paper envelopes.

Sukhad Kit for 1 woman = Rs.1400/-
Sukhad Kt for 5 women = Rs.7,000/-

You can check out the social media accounts of Hamari Pahchan NGO:

Thank you.
