Hello everyone,
This is shreya bhattacharje from agartala,tripura. I am a student pursuing my higher education of mechanical engineering at North eastern regional institute of science and technology, Arunachal Pradesh. And previously I have never been in any organisation or community servicing apart from doing extracurriculars like sports and aiming that I would be a part of a community for the needy I joined NGO HAMARI PAHCHAN! Getting here an opportunity is indeed like a treasure to me! Hamari Pahchan has 4 main objectives (projects):sukhad , malnutrition, covid relief fund which was started by the year 2020 and gadgetshala. Among these the one project which fascinates me the most is the sukhad project !
"SUKHAD"- This aims at providing knowledge for safe menstruation and maintaining good menstrual hygiene! HP gives away sanitary kits to all those underprivileged women who live in slums, streets where women can't even think of using "sanitary pads"! Why so? Why do they not think of buying them?
Answer is that they hardly get their regular meal to eat, so why will they buy pads which cost (60,70 ,80)INR ! These women are accustomed to using clothes all the time and they don't even know that using the same cloth repeatedly causes irritation, rash, and all vaginal infectious diseases! So, who will make them know that ?! Who will be stepping forward to help them?! SPECIAL THANKS TO NGO HAMARI PAHCHAN who stepped forward in helping them and took the responsibility to educate them regarding "menstrual hygiene" ! They give away pads to all these underprivileged women and help these women to earn for their living! But only an organisation's help wouldn't be solving these basic problems !
There are 1000s and millions of girls who are still using clothes and never think of using pads as they don't have enough money to buy them! So I would request to all my fellow mates , friends, brothers ,sisters!
PLEASE DONATE FOR A CAUSE ! EVEN A SINGLE AMOUNT COUNTS for them! Help this organisation to reach out to more and more people because "these women" need you ! Your single help will be beneficial for them.
