My cousin's father (my uncle, aged 68) is suffering from Stage IV pancreatic cancer that has already metastasized into the liver. We are getting him treated at the private  hospital in Patna.
The only income that the family lives on, is the pension that my uncle receives. Lack of medical insurance has led to high medical expense of about Rs 40,000 every visit. We have been able to cover Rs 2.5 lac in medical bills so far, involving 4 chemotherapy sessions. Discounting the further monetary help that I and a few other relatives can afford, we estimate we would need to raise an additional sum of Rs 1.5 lac for the expected medical costs in the upcoming weeks. Any amount donated would be of great help. Even of the smallest of the donations will be appreciated.
