Sometimes the inspiration comes from within. Fighters are born after those dark days of struggle. One such story is of an 18-year-old from Kashipur, Uttarakhand. Kaustubh Rawat who's sheer determination to play badminton against all the odds can be an inspiration to many from the young generation.
Kaustubh has not only faced financial difficulties while pursuing the sport, he has also had to bear the pain of his parent's separation at a very young age.

Kaustubh wishes to bag the jersey of the national badminton team and to ensure he gets it soon he is training extremely hard. To leave no stone unturned he also wishes to attend a two-month camp in one of the most prestigious badminton training institutes the Banthongyord Badminton School in Thailand. The training fee of the school is way beyond his limits and he is unable to fund his travel there, with your support he may be able to fly to Thailand and come one step closer to his ultimate dream.
He is currently ranked number 8th in under -19 category of boy's single's and ranks 3rd in double's, he is getting trained at MV Bisht badminton academy. He is coached by one of the prominent figures in Indian badminton, Mr. Vikram Bisht. Mr. Bisht already has high hopes from this young player, since he is one of the most hard woking players he has met.

Boys of his generation are mostly reckless but not him. In order to ensure the family is not burdened by his expenses, most of the times he manages on his own with the prize money he wins in the tournaments.
Kaustubh lives away from his mother in Delhi with his two sisters in a rented house. Mr. Bisht has been kind enough and does not charge him any fee for the training. However, most of his money is spent in traveling to the tournament. Each travel to an outstation venue costs him around 17 to 20 thousand rupees, as he has limited money to spend many times he misses tournaments which are too far from Delhi. In order to ensure he is in his best form he needs to play at least 6 tournaments per season. however limited money poses a huge challenge in that.

Kaustubh's sister Deekshikha was also a state level player in school, however, being the eldest in the family and due to financial constraints she had to put an end to her passion. She has high hopes from his brother and provides all the encouragement she was deprived of.
Kaustubh's father Mr. Dinesh Rawat separated from his mother 2 years ago, however, this also did not make Kaustubh lose his focus. He is the calmer one and does not want to succumb to bad situations. He has already made too many sacrifices and puts 10 hours every towards his training. His day starts at 5:30 and ends at 10 pm.
An athlete with such a dedication facing such hardships should be definitely supported.

Kaustabh's Mother is a school teacher and is hardly able to manage expenses of 3 adult children. She is already paying loans of her house and is barely able to save anything. Your support would also reduce the concerns of a mother of not being able to help her son.
Kaustubh's one month's expenses in Thailand will cost around 1000 USD approximately 66000 rupees, the two months expenses would be around 1,32000 an extra 30 thousand is for helping him with his expenses when he returns to India. He is planning to travel in next two months. Let us support him and make him reach his goal faster.
