Hello! My name is Prisha Agrawal. I am the founder of Project RHYMe (Reproductive Health for You and Me).
1 in 5 women in India suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome. That means that upwards of 13 crore women in India suffer from PCOS. Despite this, PCOS awareness is extremely poor given that any discussion around menstruation, sexuality and fertility is a taboo in India. PCOS can cause many mental and physical challenges, not limited to difficulty in conceiving, but also in terms of not having conventional “female” looks with facial hair, acne and balding. PCOS can also lead to more serious problems such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, problems with the heart and blood vessels, and uterine cancer. Thus, to overcome these challenges, women need to be educated about the topic and be provided with proper medical intervention.
This is where RHYMe comes in. RHYMe has tied up with Hamari Pahchan NGO (Specifically, under the SUKHAD project) to spread awareness about PCOS and help women - especially from the underprivileged strata of society - get the proper medical assistance.
'SUKHAD' helps underprivileged women by providing sanitary pads, educating them on proper menstrual hygiene, and raising awareness that 'periods' and discussing reproductive health is not a taboo, but a normality.

We are also conducting distribution drives every week where 'Sukhad Kit' is distributed which includes pads, soap, paper envelopes for disposal, and other essential items.
WE ARE PLANNING TO DISTRIBUTE AROUND 50 THOUSAND SUKHAD KITS TO UNDERPRIVILEGED WOMEN throughout the year.
Per kit price:
Sukhad kit for 1 woman = Rs. 1,400/-
Sukhad kits for 5 women = Rs 7,000/-
KIT INCLUDES 24 packets of the sanitary pad 6 packets of soap Disposable paper envelopes.
