My name is Mehak. I am from janki devi memorial college and pursuing economics honors. I am currently working at Hamari pahchan ngo as an intern.
Hamari pahchan ngo has come up with a new project 'Gadgetshala'. Through this project we want to provide the digital gadgets to poor children who want to have education but unable to do so because of poverty. According to the NCERT survey, at least 27% students do not have access to smartphones, laptops for online classes. And through this project we want to bridge this digital gap. Because We think that education is not just a need but a tool which positively impact the areas of poverty, sanitation, child labour, child exploitation.
We want to help these children by providing free education to them and by helping them where ever they lag in their studies. In this way we really want to inculcate the interest of studies in them.
We all know that a change can't be brought by one person only, it needs collective efforts. So for providing education to children we want to provide the adequate digital gadgets to the children so that distance and the digital gap can't become a barrier in their studies. And for this we want your invaluable support.
I am requesting that you all take action. Every child's fundamental right is to have access to
basic education and knowledge of oneself and society. We hope to maintain and broaden the
scope of this belief through this project. We might not be able to sponsor a student's phone or
laptop on our own, but even if each of us contributes a small amount of Rs.1000 or Rs.500,
100. We can help these students achieve educational stability. With your support, these
students will be able to attend classes on a regular basis and will be prepared to take
responsibility for a more educated India.
By doing our part, we are not only assisting a student in obtaining an education, but we are
also encouraging and contributing to our country's bright future.
