HELP US FIGHT UNEMPLOYMENT!
Hamari Pahchan has come up with an initiative called the SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, as a part of this program we aim to provide employment opportunities to underprivileged women.

We conduct vocational training programs and workshops to impart necessary skills to the ones in need.

Cost of Skill Development (workshops) for 1 woman = Rs.999/- for a month.
Cost of Skill Development (workshops) for 10 women = Rs.9999/-for a month.

Importance
Rural women are key agents for achieving the transformational economic, environmental, and social changes required for sustainable development. But limited access to credit, health care, and education are among the many challenges they face, which are further aggravated by the global food and economic crises and climate change.
Empowering them is key not only to the well-being of individuals, families, and rural communities but also to overall economic productivity, given women’s large presence in the agricultural workforce worldwide.

AIM
Through the means of our skill development programs, we at “Hamari Pahchan” provide training and subsequent employment to the destitute youth and women living in the slums of Delhi and NCR. We teach them vital skills and assist them in moving toward self-sufficiency in the workshops or ‘Aatm nirbharta’.
We are empowering the women to make them capable enough to earn their own bread through our project “Skill Development Project” We are empowering women to attain financial freedom by guiding them to be capable enough to earn their own bread through our project “Skill Development Project”. In this project, we organize workshops and classes for “Makeup”, “Art & Craft”, Candle and Diya Making, Music Classes, etc for the women and sell their products, providing them with financial security.

HOW DOES “SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT” HELP?
In this project, we organize workshops and classes for “Makeup”, “Art & Craft”, Candle and Diya Making, Music Classes etc for the women and sell their products, providing them with financial security.
Not only do we provide them with training by skilled professionals, but we also provide them with raw materials, equipment and an opportunity to work, later providing a platform for them to sell their produce.
From time to time our organization participates in various events like Festival Melas, Society events, School and college fairs where we put up a stall selling these products, garnering attention and positive turnover for the event.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO SUPPORT THE SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM?
You can support the cause through the following means:
  • Monetary support
(Donate to help us procure raw material and other necessary equipment like sewing machines.)
  • In-kind
(Raw material for the products, sewing machine, or other essential resources),
  • By promoting the campaign on social media.

SHOP Hamari Pahchan’s Products made by underprivileged women and support Women Empowerment as well as the unemployed youth.
Engaging them in a skill development program will enhance their will to stand on their own feet and get independent.
You can purchase those products from the ‘Products’ section of our website.
The revenue generated from all purchases helps Hamari Pahchan strengthen its work towards empowering the women and make them capable enough to earn a living for themselves.

In just Rs.999/- you can ensure skill development of a woman.

Projects
Later amid the outbreak of Pandemic, we introduced a major step as the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, by which we had these women create handicraft products, hydro-dippings, and jewellery, employing them in these unfortunate times. Some of the several products they created were tote bags, wallets, earrings, nameplates and coasters, file covers, sunglass covers, pouches, jute bags, and many more.

The objective of this initiative is not only to bring strength to our economy by switching to goods manufactured locally but also to help out the weaker sections of society, who are the worst hit by the pandemic and loss of employment.

Unemployment touched an all time high as the pandemic engulfed employment opportunities.  With countless breadwinners on the streets, families starved on a daily basis. The number of people unemployed in India rose from 43.32 million in 2021 to 44.20 million in 2022. An increase by near about one million! Furthermore, research tells us that one in four women in urban areas is unemployed. Our youth and women are worst hit by the ongoing unemployment crisis; they deserve equal and ample opportunities to earn their livelihood.

Hamari Pahchan NGO strives to kick start people’s journey towards financial stability. In order to achieve this we conducted an extensive research drive in Delhi, to understand the hurdles and barriers that people come across while looking for jobs. We have realized that to bring about some change we will have to make relentless efforts towards breaking the vicious cycle of poverty.

As a non-governmental organization Hamari Pahchan has come up with certain initiatives to provide employment opportunities to the ones in need. These initiatives are operational in various slums and villages in Delhi NCR. One such initiative is the Skill Development program through which we primarily focus on enhancing the skill set of people who are capable of earning on their own. We conduct vocational training programs and workshops under the behest of this program for the same; these sessions empower the needy to support themselves.

As a part of the Skill Development Program initiative, we also provide a platform to a range of handmade products made entirely by underprivileged women with an aim to empower and encourage them to become an entrepreneur. As of today, this initiative has changed the lives of hundreds of women.

This year, we have provided vocational training to 2000+ women along with an opportunity to earn their livelihood. On top of that, as mentioned above we have provided a platform to the handmade products made by these women; we help them sell their products all over the world.
