I have been selected for the Jagriti Yatra, an NGO initiative that promotes entrepreneurship.
Jagriti Yatra is a rail journey, an initiative of Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, a non-governmental organization that promotes entrepreneurship.
My name is Riyas Kamarudeen Mohammed, 22 years old, B. Com Graduate, pursuing MBA at Cochin University.
Being born and brought up in Dubai, I only used to visit India for a few weeks in a year until the age of 18. Towards the end of my schooling years I had realised that Dubai was not the place I belong to and hence decided to pursue my bachelors in India to actually be where I belong. After graduating I knew that coming to India was a a really good decision that I took for myself. I further decided to pursue my Masters in Business Administration in a Government college to know more about India when my family wanted me to go abroad.
I am not that person who wants to study in India as its cheaper and work abroad to make more money. I believe that within India lies great potential that is unrealised. Unlocking this potential and exploring it is the simple idea to make money in your own country and to make a better India.
But studying in a government funded college has not helped as much as I thought that it would to know more about India. For this, I need to travel to the real India that lies in the small towns and villages. I am sure Jagriti Yatra will help me explore the opportunities to achieve personal growth as well as growth to my country.
For this I need to confirm my seat by making a payment of 62000 rupees. I have put in my personal savings of 21000 rupees. So I still need 41000 to be on the Jagriti Yatra. I could borrow this money from my family but I wish to have a liability to the society so that I can return this to the society with a greater value. If you feel that my effort is genuine and sincere, please lend your hand in crowd funding my trip.
