My name is Shilpa Bhati and I am 32 years old living in Jaipur. I am a housewife and mother of a 2 year old beautiful girl child.
Unfortunately, in October 2016 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. On further investigation it was found that I am ER positive as well as HER2NEU positive which is a more aggressive type of cancer with expensive targeted medicines - Herclone or Herceptin.
Doctors have suggested Bilateral Mastectomy (removal of both the breast) and also removal of Ovaries to reduce the chances of re-occurrence as I am BRACA1 positive as well.
With our medical insurance exhausted i am yet to fund my expenses for Radiation and medicines namely, Herclon/Herceptin. I am suppose to take Herclone/Herceptin drug for a period of 1 year which has a total cost estimate of around INR 8-10 lacs (USD 11,000 to USD 15,000) since Herceptin is an expensive drug and is very necessary to treat my condition. Further to this i am also to start the targeted medicines for treating my condition of ER positive which will add to the cost.
I am looking forward to generate fund to treat myself and fight against my condition of cancer.
Today many women suffering from HER2NEU type of cancer are not able to revive themselves as the Medicine Herceptin/Herclone are too expensive and the unfortunate ones are not able to complete the entire course of this medicine.
I am fighting cancer with all my will and determination but does not want any financial constraint to limit my efforts. Your generous donation will help me complete my course of treatment and get cured. I will be very grateful to the donors to help me fight my cause and revive not just me but a complete family.
Please note that currently i am getting the treatment at HCG Hospital, Ahmedabad as well as Apex Hospital, Jaipur.
