6-Month-Old Suffers From The Same Disease which Killed His Siblings
6-month-old Hamil is diagnosed with a rare disease- Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome. Unfortunately, his two elder brothers were diagnosed with the same condition and lost their lives.
Hamil's father is a daily wage worker and mother is a homemaker. Her family hails from Kozhikode, Kerala. The only cure for his disease is a bone marrow transplant and the family has no way to arrange for funds required for this.This Mother who Has Lost Two Sons Pleads To Save Her Last Son
Hamil's mother,Nushahath, has gone through a double tragedy . She lost her first son when he was just a year old and her second son when he was just a 3 months old. She and her husband didn't know that had Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome. Till the end, her sons were not diagnosed of what they were suffering from. After repeated tests of cancer,the doctors told that they were affected with cancer.A Bone Marrow Transplant Is His Only Cure
Hamil has been bleeding from his nose and mouth. This has alarmed the doctors and they have advised a bone marrow transplant immediately.
Initially, Hamil's sister was found to be a half match to be the donor for the transplant but the doctors searched for a full matched donor. Fortunately, they found one and there is now a lesser risk for the transplant.Hamil's parents have left their daughter in custody of her grandmother and are staying in Chennai in a rented room near the hospital so they can take Hamil to the doctor if there is any emergency.

We are happy to inform you that Hamil has been showing good progress. He has been under observation for over a month. Hamil’s family is hopeful that the recovery will be complete in a month and they’d be able to move back to their hometown in Kozhikode.
Few months ago, they were struggling for funds to treat their child. Now they see their son healthy and returning back to normal life. All of this wouldn’t have been possible without your support, they are extremely grateful for all the kind contributions that have helped save Hamil.

We have a great news to share. Hamil's transplant was completed yesterday. Thanks to your support, we were able to raise a significant amount. Fortunately, the family received help from few individuals from their hometown which helped them gather the rest of the amount required to begin the transplant procedure.
Hamil is doing well and is in the bone marrow transplant room under observation. After 2 weeks, he will be moved to the ward. His parents are very happy and can't thank you enough.

We spoke to Hamil's mother and his doctor. Few days ago, his counts improved and he was making good progress. He continued on same medications. He was stable without any bleeding for few days.
Last week, his counts dropped again. He comes to the hospital three days in a week. They are living near the hospital. The transplant procedures will begin once they have the funds ready to get hospitalized. Your support has been amazing. Hamil's parents are very happy and hopeful to see their little one recover. Thank you all.
