Gadgetshala – The new paatshala
The coronavirus has infected more than 100 million people around the globe. But wait, it’s the fact that everyone shows us, isn’t it. I, Basrah Nabi student of Invertis University currently persuing bcom( hons) and now a part of hamari pehchan I am here lending a hand and working for the marketing department as an intern and I will tell you some disrupting facts that you should know. India has the world’s fastest-growing population. As much as 320 million citizens are below the age of 18 years. Yet, two decades of studies have inundated us with data pointing in an unsettling direction, less than 25% of the country’s students graduate from 10th standard; less than 10% make it to college. So why is that so, even after having a huge student base, hardly 10% make it through college degree.
The answer is unfortunately the lack of opportunities and facilities. In India there are a lot of government school for these underprivileged children, but in most of these schools the quality of teaching and basic facilities that a student needs are not available.
The situation worsen further with the beginning of the covid era. Most of these underprivileged families are now facing food crisis, education has become a winter sun for them. But we hamara pehchaan ngo knows that education is something which can change their whole life. We strongly believe that education is the only path for bringing a change. With this belief we have taken a great initiative i.e. Project "Drishti" which was initially started from a single room in 2014 and came into effect in 2016 . Till now our team has proudly able to educate more than 12000 children and brought a ray of hope in their life.
Through the means of "Gadgetshala" we intend to shift to the mode of online learning,
accessible through gadgets such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. Furthermore, we
have distributed textbooks, note books and other stationery essentials, doing our best to
ensure all have accessibility to elementary levels of education. Moreover with are trying our best to avail internet facilities along with gadgets to the one's who need it the most as the need of the home we have to take some immediately measures for this our current strategy is to provide :
- Internet facilities

I am requesting that you all take action. Every child's fundamental right is to have access to basic education and knowledge of oneself and society. We hope to maintain and broaden the scope of this belief through this project. We might not be able to sponsor a student's phone or laptop on our own, but even if each of us contributes a small amount of Rs.1000 or Rs.500, 100. We can help these students achieve educational stability. With your support, these students will be able to attend classes on regular basis and will have a bright future ahead.
