Run by an experienced team of experts from the finance and social development sectors, the Center for Development Orientation & Training (CDOT) serves underprivileged families in districts across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh in northern India. A partner in the Prime Minister’s financial inclusion program, it especially empowers low-income women and their families through services like micro finance and insurance, pension schemes, water and sanitation, livelihood and skill development, and renewable solar energy. Milaap’s partnership with CDOT helps remote rural families to access renewable energy solar lamps. This helps them extend their working hours and lets their children study past sunset, free from the risks and expenses of kerosene lamps or wood torches.
