We are deeply saddened inform you that our beloved Shivu (Sivaraman) is no more. He passed away on Feb 10, 2017 early morning at Kauvery Hospital, Chennai after putting up a valiant fight all this time. He leaves behind his wife, his 18 year old daughter and 8 year old son. As you can understand, these are very tough times for the family. We request you to send your blessings and good wishes/prayers, to the family, especially for his daughter who is appearing for her 12th grade public examinations in a month.

Greetings.

On Jan 27, 2017, Shivu was discharged from Kauvery Hospitals and moved home.

The new home has been setup with all the equipment and supplies required to care for Shivu. The home care organization’s nurses and other critical care staff have visited Shivu at the new home and are helping him settle.

At home, with more access to familiar family voices, music and the like, we hope Shivu will turn around soon.

Thanks to all of you we have already reached our target.

We will update you when we have something more to share.

Season’s greetings.

Shivu continues to remain in Kauvery Hospitals. His vitals continue to remain stable. He is completely breathing on his own. There has been no incidence of fever for quite a while now. We will check once again with the doctors to prepare him for discharge.

The process of setting up his new home is well underway. His family has already moved to this place.

The list provided by the home care organization contains equipments, devices and supplies. Ordering of most of the equipment is complete. They are expected to be setup by 18-20th Jan. We hope to procure all the devices (mostly one-time purchase) and a month’s supplies and then discharge Shivu from the hospital.

We will update you all again when we have more to share.
