Dear supporters,

I am Debotri Roy, an open fellow at Milaap. I have great news to share about Madhupriya’s health.

The 9-year-old baby girl accidentally injured herself and got severe burnt marks on her face. But with the timely support and contribution of the donors, she underwent an operation on 25th January 2017.

"My child is doing really well, and she is fine. Although she is too tiny to tolerate such pain, she is brave enough to fight back", said Madhupriya's aunt. According to the doctor, the operation was 100 percent successful. The bandage from her face has been opened. But, we can see the changes in her face only after it heals, which will probably take 3 weeks time.

There was an urgency in regards to the operation since she was on the verge of losing her eye sight. The stitches around her eye have been removed. Apart from her face, the doctor has also operated too some extent in her abdomen and legs. Presently a crutch has been fixed in her legs so as to avoid the delay in recovery.

Madhupriya has been discharged on 31st of January. However, she will not be able to attend school till the end of February.  Her guardians are overwhelmed and thanked the donors for coming forward to help this child confront such a huge challenge.

"Madhupriya has been suffering since long. We don't know how to thank you all. It would not have been possible to cover the operation and medical expenses without your help", said her aunt.

Thank you once again. We will keep you posted on her progress.
