As you know through this fundraising initiative your donation will go towards Basha. Basha has been educating, feeding and providing emergency health care to the underprivileged, street and slum children in Kolkata.  Its founder, Ms Saswati Arora visits homes and communities to seek out high-risk children, often in danger of being victims of drugs, social and sexual abuse, many of whom have been taught at the school and have grown up as productive members of the society. An English-medium school, Basha has students studying for class X to give their examination through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). We will be glad if you can support our initiative. With your support we will be able to equip the school with more facilities as one really cannot put a price on education.

Further, we are excited to inform that Milaap is providing a 5% matching on all the donations till 30th May 2022, so as to help our initiative. This means that for every INR 1000, INR 50 will be contributed thereby causing larger impact to attain the goal.

Dear Supporters,
I would like to inform you that the main daily expenses for the school would be in terms of rent and the requirement of water, be it for consumption or cooking.We are not exactly happy with the new place at it is not as spacious as we want it to be.
For example, we were able to conduct dance classes in the old place, but because of limited space availability in the new place, we are conducting the same on the road as of now.I would like to inform you that if we get donations more regularly for the same, we will gladly consider moving to a place with more facilities as one really cannot put a price on education.
