Dear all,

This is Aniket's doctor. Thank you for your support and prayers for Aniket. He was an extremely bright boy with many dreams. He was the only child of his parents and was brought up to be a courteous and affectionate young boy. He fully understood his medical condition and had read articles on the internet with the help of his uncle. He truly believed that he would get better.

After chemotherapy and radiotherapy, he had received his father's bone marrow stem cells. He developed a fever after that and needed support with blood, platelets, and antibiotics. The chemotherapy drugs caused acute heart failure on the fifth day after giving the donor stem cells. He was in pediatric intensive care for the rest of his stay in the hospital. His body did not accept the new stem cells.

It was his wish to go home when his condition started deteriorating. We arranged for an ambulance for him to reach home. The medications did not improve his heart function and he passed away. I am extremely saddened to inform this. Thank you for giving a chance to Aniket's parents to continue their son's treatment.

Funds raised through this campaign covered Aniket's transplant, medications, and ambulance expenses. We have 4 lakhs available from his campaign and it's my request that we utilise it for another child who needs it urgently. I will share details of the patient with you all soon.

Thank you.

Dear supporters,

This is Dr. Revathy Raj, Aniket's doctor. I wish to place my sincere thanks to all the donors who have helped Aniket. Aniket underwent the bone marrow transplant on 25th October.  Unfortunately his new bone marrow cells have not taken up and the transplant has failed. Aniket is now critically ill but it is his special request to send this message of thanks to each donor who has at least given him this chance to fight for his life.

It was his last wish to go home. Hence we arranged an ambulance with a nurse and oxygen support to send him home for terminal care. The family left at 5 am this morning to Bihar and is expected to reach by 10 pm tonight.

I thank you again for your tremendous support.

Regards,
Dr. Revathy Raj
