Hello dear supporters and donors, hope you all are keeping safe and well. I am Selvarani, the campaign organizer, and here's a small update on this campaign that you all have so generously supported. Thank you very very much!





This fundraiser and the activities have been done for Intellectually disabled children from remote villages of Thuraiyur block and Alathur gate block of Trichy and Perambalur districts.  The exact location is Special School situated at Nagalapuram, Thuraiyur Tk, Trichy. The funds are being withdrawn to the trust's bank account  "Sri Selliah Memorial Trust". We have so far withdrawn the following amounts of Rs.10,576.37, Rs.6870.94, Rs.22391.78 and $139. The funds are solely used to support our intellectually disabled children and the team engaged in the efforts. We had also withdrawn and used a sum of around Rs.1,59,000/- for our special children at our special school 'Sri Selliah Memorial Special School'.





Around 32 special children have benefited from this campaign. We provide safe transport to the poor children from their home in remote village to the school and drop them back home from school, absolutely free of cost.  These children belong from different age groups, ranging from 3-year-olds to 18-year-olds. To rehabilitate our special children and to look after their needs and security, we have two special educators, 1 physiotherapist,1 trained teacher, two Aayas (nurses), 1 caretaker, two drivers, two rented vehicles to transport these children, one executive director, one office in charge, one accountant. The funds are utilized to rehabilitate our children and provide them with a normal and healthy childhood. Children with mild to moderate symptoms will be given vocational training and children with severe symptoms will get to live with their families, in a home supported by government and the trust.

This  campaign was started in 2016.I received Donation around Rs. 150000/- in 2016. After a long gap donors have started to support  our special children by making donations.  There for I would  like to extend the duration  and the campaign  amount. Your support will help our remote village poor  Intellectually disabled children.
