2nd May 2019
Dear Supporters,

Life took us over this week.

On Monday, Ronnie was a little listless and off his food although he did accept and enjoy a beef bone. The sterilisations then  expected to happen on Tuesday the 30th were deferred to the 2nd of May. We had delayed vaccinations (due to minimum recovery time)  because of the sterilisation  and so expected to vaccinate on Tuesday. By Tuesday Ronnie was visibly in trouble, the doctor could not be certain what had caused this but he was started on a saline drip and antibiotics course. Rae failed to eat Tuesday, Wednesday saw Ronnie, Rae and Rama go for  treatment, Rama had eaten but was listless and had no breakfast.

By Thursday we had 6 not eating ...Robin who is off his food but otherwise okay, Rio who was showing early signs and Rocky who appeared fine but had stopped eating. So only Rain, Pari and Rosie were sterilised Thursday 2nd. We still don't know what virus this is or whether they have been poisoned. Apart from Ronnie the others while not eating are drinking and have not got worse, they simply have no energy. Robin, Rio and Rama are interested in food and drink some milk.

WITHOUT the funds received here the cost of  transport to Paravur , daily medication (now rs 450) would not have been possible.
The speed of the change has engulfed us from a garden full of happy, yapping, wag a tails we now have pups lolling in the shade who come up or a cuddle and return to sleep. Ronnie and Rae , Ronnie is in a dangerous condition and Rae has lost a lot of weight, but the others are not visibly dangerously thin, in fact if you hadn't known them last week they do not appear ill.

We have adopters waiting whom we hope will be patient, the treatment will continue until they are eating and gaining weight again.
WE hope to have  sterilisation and vaccination dates again next week.   Meanwhile, Rosie, Pari and Rain will be given their course of antibiotic injections, Rosie has a home in Thrissur , Pari - Ernakulam. I will load the receipts and accounts to date by Monday.

THANK YOU for allowing us to help these lives.. without the support of the overworked government veterinary hospital and you, the dogs would not be pulling through.

I cannot help but think it's something i have done. These pups were in a bad way when we got them and just from good food and care recovered remarkably in 2 weeks.. I know how lucky we have been in being able to support and help lives and i also know that outbreaks will happen. If they had been strong enough would have vaccinated them earlier BUT we don't know if that would have changed things, in fact the strength of the vaccine may have weakened their resistance to this ...whatever it is.

Just THANK YOU, these funds could not have been more critical to saving and empowering lives.

Dear Supporters,

Here's a quick update:

Ronnie has suddenly become very ill. Yesterday he was listless and wouldn't drink..in the midst of all this...(Ronnie is on the drip at the vets as we speak). The fact that someone cares about our 7 boys, Pari and Rosie is empowering but to give blindly..for dogs I know I spoil (but they ARE so worth it)...well..i still cant believe the generosity. 2500 came from people we don't know who have faith in strangers,  their donations would be referred to as mad popularly, for me these are blessed souls. One of our babies , Eisha's daughter sent 3000...a pup has evolved into a philanthropist, our silly. special, clumsy, lovingly loyal Ellie now Miss Isabella.
To date every adopter has kept in touch so we should have follow up pictures. I have never felt so blessed or empowered. I am the luckiest person alive watching these beauties thrive, being able to love and be loved by them. They are my Notre Dame and donors facilitate their being alive.  Please check @cheraitails for updates.

Life is worth living, each life is sustained by other lives ...

We have withdrawn some funds to pay for the multi vaccinations. Thank you for making this possible. Photos of the pups getting their vaccinations will be on @cheraitails
