Dear Supporters,

Girish Tewari is helping to coordinate the building an indoor toilet for Maya's house that costs Rs/40,000. There are tigers in these hills and it is dangerous for Maya to go outside at night to go su-su (pee-pee) so building an indoor toilet will protect her when she visits her family.

Thank you for the support.

Maya and Meenakshi have moved into a new apartment. The other apartment  was quite lovely but really too costly. That earlier apartment was located by another person last July who rather obliged Meenakshi to move it even though it was far from school and too expensive. Nonetheless, Meenakshi moved in against her better judgement and has enjoyed living there. Recently, the person, who was paying for that expensive apartment and who had rather 'forced" Meenakshi to move in, withdrew some of the funding and refused to pay the full amount causing Meenakshi and Maya to move to a less costly apartment, which Meenakshi likes. It has two rooms with windows and a kitchen dining area, that she prefers to the previous apartment's kitchen. Meenakshi felt is was better to move to a less expensive apartment since Maya's other source of funding is quite irregular and uncertain. The new apartment costs Rs/8,000 ($122) per month including electricity. Meenakshi and I have come to realise that the Milaaps fundraising site is our sole source of consistent sustenance.  I hope we can generate enough funds to keep Maya in school until she graduates which is seven more years.  Whatever help you can muster will be carefully put to very good use. If you want to donate directly and bypass certain fees, please contact me by email: ranirossr@gmail.com  Also you want to make regular donations and get a 501c3 tax waiver, contact me and I will set that up.  THANKS! ;-)
