Post the liver transplant operation, Rohan was recovering well, gained weight (from 20 to 25kgs) and had also been moved from the ICU to recovery rooms as of last week. His doctors have him exciting news that he could go home in a few days if all went well. The next day, he developed a fever and the doctors worried about infection moved him back to the ICU. Then his vitals started faltening. His blood pressure dropped significantly and slowly his organs started to fail. His lungs were worst affected. The doctors worked tirelessly to help him. However after a strong fight, Rohan passed away.

We are very excited to share some great news on Rohan's successful liver transplant (donor-his mother) on 22nd Oct at ILBS, Delhi. Rohan is in the ICU recovering now and is showing great progress. However, the road to recovery is long and arduous and will need a close watch by the hospital. We have used almost all of the funds collected via Milaap so far towards many tests and dialysis-es- pre-surgery. We have also managed to get funding for the surgery from the hospital and another support organization as well. However, his recovery process is long and expensive. With support from each of you, we have gotten thus far successfully, a few more steps to ensuring Rohan has a healthy future as any child should :). Please continue to support Rohan and continue sharing with your friends so that we can help to support him through his recovery phase in hospital. Many thanks.
