Dear Supporter,

We have all our students back into school after their fulfilling summer vacation.

All in all 49 of our students' admission are already done. We have provided them the new books, shoes, bags and arranged the commutation facility as well.

We have distributed more than 3000 books to around 700 students in rural government schools.

Pic - notebooks distribution to our rural government school students.

We have paid the salaries of all our digital tutors and v25 tutors as well.

Now, we have to look after our expenses regarding the fees of our students, our plantation drive, provision of functional toilets to our students in rural government schools and repairing the toilets that have been dysfunctional so far.

Regarding these, we will update you soon as we find some quantifiable progress on these activities.

We heart fully thank you for the support you have been giving to us in this campaign of providing education for all.

Dear Friend,

Here I would like to post an update about one of our students.

Lalitha - 5th class girl student from Uyyalawada Mandal of Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Her drunkard father abandoned their family and her single mother could barely feed her. She worked as a daily wage laborer and earn meager wages. It cannot sustain their food requirements. Leave alone the hygiene and other basic requirements of an young girl at her age. Education was least preferred when it come to spending the money. And she is a girl as well when girl's education is only next to all other things the family needs.

Aakanksha Vfabs stood by their single mother in their most difficult times and took up the responsibility of this girl in her 2nd class. We are providing her the boarding facility as well. She is placed in one of the good residential schools along with three more of our students. She soon became healthy, hygienic and now concentrating on studies. Meanwhile her parents (drunkard father returned after 3 years just last year) migrated to some other village in search of livelihood.

We hope ti support more such vulnerable children with your support. Milaap is providing us a matching fund of 15% for every contribution you make.

So, please come and generously share the link among your friends and colleagues and try helping us get the necessary support for this cause.

Regards,
V Sai Vamsi Vardhan.

Dear Well wisher and dearest supporter,

We have already done with the academic year ending in April 2019.
The academic year 2019-2020 is already started and all our students are school. They are back from Summer Vacation.

This academic year we have already taken the responsibility of 10 new students apart from the existing 60+ students.

Pic - Media covering our taking up of new students.

All the new students are admitted in the schools as per the needs of the student and the family background.

Pic - Our girl students receiving new books on their rejoining of the school.

Pic - AaKanKsha always stood as a pillar of support when the families are in distress.

Our students, in their summer vacation, were involved in various activities like planting saplings, learning computers apart from the sports and games.

Sports and games are inherent in our model of shaping the future of our students.

We taught computers to 50 student in our summer camp in the project village.

Pic - Students trying MS Paint in our digital aasha class room.

Creative works like painting, drawing are actively promoted by us among our students regularly.

Pic - sketches tried by our students.

At the end of each academic year, we assess the performance of each of our students so that we may rectify ourselves if there are under performing students. We believe that performance assessment of the students is a way of assessing the performance of ourselves. We are satisfied with the progress that our students made in the last one year.

Pic - Our volunteer assessing the performance of our students Jessica, Mounika and Pravallika being brought up by the brave single mother.

We touched the lives of 700+ rural government school students by way of distributing the notebooks essential for this academic year. When earning livelihood becomes a priority for the parents, buying books are a costly affair for the parents of these students. AaKanKsha, with the support of two other NGOs like Maitraka from Vizag and Vasudha Foundation from Hyderabad, provided 3500+ notebooks to these students.

Pic - These students of a neglected school in a tribal dominated village were touched by our initiative.

Pic - A school which is as far as 140 Kms from the district headquarters is known for being neglected.

We plan to provide them with other stationery items like pencils, pens and bags in the next academic year.

So, with projects like Student Sponsorship, Digital AaSha, V25 Learning Center, Summer Camps, Ecological Initiative, School Development Program, Remedial Classes and School Kit Distribution project being run, our expenses are bound to increase manifolds this academic year.

We project the expenses as follows -

Student Sponsorship - 15,00,000/-
Project Digital AaSha - 2,50,000/-
V25 Learning Center - 2,00,000/-
Summer Camps - 1,50,000/-
Ecological Initiative - 1,00,000/-
Remedial Classes - 1,00,000/-
School Kit Distribution - 3,50,000/-
School Development Project - 3,50,000/- (3 - 5 rural govt schools)

Total Projected Expenses in the coming on year is - Rs. 30,00,000/-.

This projection includes our administrative expenses (around 6%) and the support we receive from the other two NGOs in our school kit distribution project.

In the light of this projection, we would like to increase the target of our fundraiser as well as the target date.

We hope our supporters will generously contribute to our cause and help us realise the dreams of hundreds of rural students across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand and Chennai.
