Hello Dear friends!! Its with great joy that I can share that we have now bought the Inverter for the school with the amount raised.

What is the impact? We had seen power cuts almost every alternate hour during our earlier stays at the school.
 
During peak summer there would be 6-8 hours of power cuts. For a residential school it is a major concern.

With this inverter, now we have uninterrupted power supply in one of the school buildings

.

This has significantly improved the quality of classes.

Next step: We are planning to buy the following to augment the school:

1. A fridge: The residential school lacks a fridge, hence it is difficult to store persihables like poultry, fish, etc that is necessary for a healthy diet for the students.

2. An LCD TV: The school has a good computer lab, as its a centre for National Skill Development program under which rural youth is getting trained on computer skills. We are planning to set up an electronic classroom to enhance the learning experience for the school and skill development students

Summers are here. There is scorching heat in Purulia. With it comes power cuts, often for 5-6 hours at a stretch. Studies are getting disrupted.

So we need an inverter for our school- costs around 9-10 Thousand rupees. You will be happy to know that we have raised money - rs 3500 f via offline donations from my colleagues- to be used to buy sports equipment for the school.

Our teachers are working with great zeal - and looking forward to your support for the same!!
