Here is a quick update on our baby.

The baby will be discharged today from the hospital. She has had another round of laser surgery for the retinopathy and she is better now.

Dear Supporters,

We have some good news to share with you today. The little one has gained a bit of weight since my last update. She is now around 1.3kilograms which is a good sign. She might be ready to go home sometime in the coming week but it will be yet sometime before she is fully fit.

The pediatric ophthalmologist has been by to check her eyes and she was of an opinion that there could be a retinopathy of prematurity since she could see tiny clots in the whites of her eyes. She might need a laser treatment to remove the clots so as to ensure her vision is not affected. I have conferred with an ophthalmic surgeon friend of mine and it sometimes happens in premature babies.

Dear Supporters,

This is an update regarding the little one.

As of today the CPAP and subsequent respiratory support has been removed and she has been having only an Oxygen Mask to help her breathe. Her weight is now 1.1kgs and that is a definite improvement since it has started increasing.

She has opened her eyes and is trying to look at her parents. Her mother is now able to hold the little one and give her direct touch.
