Dear all,

We are glad to inform you that Pavithra has recovered considerably. Folks from Colourful Butterflies Foundation (NGO) visited Pavithra at her village in Lingal and met with the family. Please see the photos attached below.

Pavithra with her family

About the condition of the Padmanapalli village -
The village is in the interior parts of Nagarkurnool district with a population of about 1000 people. The village has open drainage and lacks cleanliness. Mostly all kids and elders did not wear chappal while around their houses. When the volunteers from Colourful Butterflies foundation spoke with local villagers and youth, they said that diseases like Malaria, Dengue, Stomach aches are common.

As discussed in the previous updates, we plan to conduct a Medical awareness camp at this village to educate villagers about worm infestation in kids like Pavithra. Accordingly, I am working with Colourful Butterflies foundation and Ankura Hospital to make this happen. The tentative dates are 25th Nov and 29th Nov. We do plan to arrange to and fro transportation between Madinaguda, Hyderabad and Padmanapalli village (about 180 kms one way).
Please note that the dates are tentative.
We will send more updates once we finalize the details of the event. Also for people who are interested to join us for the camp, please send me an email on virag.shah@gmail.com
