Dear Supporters,

Thank you for supporting and donating for her treatement. We have done two surgeries for Vyga this admission - one major surgery and  the other multiple drainages of the abdominal collections and she is stable now.

The final surgery is planned at a later date. We had budget of  Rs 10 lakh for her treatment and we have received Rs  5 lakh which has been used for her current treatment and nutritional rehabilitation. At present she is stable and we plan to continue her rehabilitation and follow up in the OPD. Meanwhile if she develops further complication the surgery will have to be planned at that time. Thank you once again for the generous donation for Baby Vyga.

Dear Supporters,

Here is an update on baby Vyga.
Over the past 10 days, the baby Vyga has had a few ups and downs
She developed a high-grade fever and became a bit sick.
The tube in her stomach which was draining the fluid got blocked and she was in pain till it was replaced. Thankfully she did not develop a serious infection! It took her 2 to 3 days to settle down after which she has been fairly stable.

Her nutritional rehabilitation is going well and she gained weight almost to 6 kg but then the fever brought it down a bit. Still, she is progressing well now. The fluid from her stomach seems to be reducing and if she does not develop any other setback we should be able to plan her definitive surgery in a week or two.

It has been nearly 3 months since Baby Vyga was admitted to the hospital and it has become her second home.
In spite of all her needle pricks, tubes down her throat, tubes in her veins, tubes in her abdomen, she continues to remain cheerful and positive.
She now plays with the nurses who care for her and has started talking a few words too!

However, it is our fervent endeavor to make sure she goes home well - to grow up like any other baby girl. All your prayers and generous contribution have made all this possible else she would not have made it this far.

We and Vyga's family thank you all for all the help you have given and for standing by her. We are sure your prayers and blessings will be with us when we embark on her surgery. Together we hope to make her well and healthy. Thank you, one and all.

Baby Vyga is feeling better now. We have been able to establish feeding and better nutrition with which her protein levels are improving. This will help her to heal better. She has been showing slow weight gain and is now 5.2 kg. We hope she will continue to improve and reach her target weight of 8 kg.

She still has a tube in her stomach to drain the excess fluid accumulating which will remain for another 1 to 2 weeks. Her surgery will have to be planned after that. In spite of all these troubles Vyga remains cheerful and determined to come out of this ordeal successfully. She still has a long way to go but with all your help and prayers I am sure she will make it fine.

Thank you all for your selfless and generous contribution towards treatment of Baby Vyga for which her grandparents, mother, myself and of course, Baby Vyga will be forever grateful. You made it possible for this little fighter to even the odds stacked against her.
