With a heavy heart, I regret to inform that Manoj left for his heavenly abode in the early hours of 29th Nov 2017.

He was a fighter, and proved us wrong every time we left hope. During the treatment, he had to be shifted to ICU multiple times, received numerous blood transfusions, plasma recycle, body fluid extractions, got impacted by hepatic encephalopathy, and was on ventilator for several days.

He is now survived by his wife and two little children. Request everyone to keep him and his family in your prayers.

Dear Supporters,

To all my well wishers, a big thank you for all the support so far both emotionally and financially.
I would like to share an update on the progress of my liver transplant. My brother-in-law (sister's husband) had kindly consented to be the live donor from within the family.

For last two months, our families have been working very hard on the necessary legal paperwork. During this waiting period, to keep me alive, I have received numerous blood transfusions, plasma recycles, body fluid extraction, got impacted by hepatic encephalopathy, have been on the ventilator and have lost count on the number of times I had to be moved to the ICU based on emergency situations.

My wife and children continue to live in hope in the hospital complex waiting for me to become normal, and our children continue to miss school too since last several weeks. The organ transplant NOC has finally been obtained on 31st October 2017.

I now see a ray of hope for life looking forward to the transplant surgery happening very soon. Our relatives, friends, and well-wishers have spent more than Rs. 26 lakhs so far to keep me alive. The actual transplant surgery cost, recovery stay in the hospital, and then the postoperative care for nearly a month for my brother-in-law and about three months for me in Chennai is estimated to cost an additional 35-36 lakhs, which in fact is what we originally estimated as we had moved forward with the transplant plan.

Our friends and extended family members have already stretched a lot to keep me alive, but we are struggling to arrange this additional 35-36 lakhs. I would have lost all hope and given up had it not been for my good wishers like you.
I sincerely request all of you to please help me with your urgent contributions so that my surgery can be done immediately. Thanking you all.

Regards

Dear Supporters,

As per the doctor's advice, the operation will be performed on 2nd or 3rd October. The doctors are running tests and administering treatment both to the Manoj and the donor. The donor has been advised medications before transplant. Will keep you posted.
