Good Morning from Rational Thinkers Society Lucknow
By the will, mercy, and Permission of God, members of Bayt Ul Maal (an initiative by youth to help the ummah and serve humanity) and Rational Thinkers Society, visited the following flood affected areas in Uttar Pradesh, today, Aug 31, 2017. 31.08.2017
While Mangal Mela and Katariad had already received much help after water had receeded, Bhutaniya being surrounded by Saryu river from three sides, had suffered a lot. Farms devastated, lives lost, properties destroyed and much more.
We worked till 9:45 at night in these areas, trying to extend help to those who were genuinely affected. While our idea was to first conduct a survey, followed by extending help post 5 sep, we couldn't stop ourselves after meeting these people.
Bhutaniya has a total population of 1100 people and we spent enough time in identifying the beneficiaries. Those, whose house were devastated were given money to repair/build their houses, while others with help for food. Sweets were distributed among childten to bring a smile to their beautiful faces.
All the praises for God, we also extended help in the form of medical aid. We will be heading to other districts tomorrow morning, If God wills. We will also be working in flood affected areas before Teacher's day.
