Dear Supporters,

Thank you to each one of you who has been so supportive of this campaign.
KOSHISH is an organization of devoted youth activists committed to struggle for equality, peace, and justice. During the pandemic, Koshish has been on a mission to support migrant workers from Bihar who are struggling for their food and sustenance. The community has lost their jobs and right now needs a helping hand from each one of us.

KOSHISH has been working on-ground to solve this crisis and as of now they have served about 4000+ families and need more help in reaching more families in the community in the upcoming days.

1. In Patna, 125 families were distributed with Food Packets for one month
2. In the month of June, Cooked food distribution was conducted
3. In Gaya, 50 families were provided with daily necessities
4. In Muzzafarpur, 76 families were provided with daily necessities
5. Overall we have intervened in 7 areas –
ï‚· Patna,
ï‚· Gaya,
ï‚· Muzzafarpur,
ï‚· Saharasa,
ï‚· Munger,
ï‚· Araria,
ï‚· Kathiar
Food and other provisions have been distributed to the families and our alumni members are working, monitoring, and auditing the work being done on the ground be Koshish.

We have received the list of beneficiaries for Araria, Saharsa, Munger & Katihar from Bihar Migrant Workers (Approximately a number of 225 families). We are also closely working to get the number for Naukothia (part of Patna) and other neighbouring areas.

All the funds withdrawn until now have been used for our activities, the details of which have been shared along with some pictures. Thank you to all of you once again for your support.

Hello All,

Thank you so much for supporting our cause and contributing. We are also attaching a report on the list of expenses made for the Bihar Migrant Workers.

PMCH Alumni Initiative
PMCH-77 Alumni are a group of 80 doctors who joined the medical college in Patna in the year 1972 and graduated out in 1977. They were the first competitive batch from Bihar and came not only from Bihar but from all over the country and other countries like Malaysia.
After four decades, 5 years ago they got reunited thanks to technology and social media.
Currently most are all well accomplished in their fields and have been highly acclaimed in their specialties. There are at least 10 of them who are settled overseas.
In two years’ time the batch will be celebrating a landmark golden jubilee marking the start of the new journey, which they never forget.
When the Bihar Migrant workers crisis cropped up they decided to unite their efforts to raise resources so as to help these workers who had no jobs and nowhere to go for their sustenance.
What started as a small effort with individual contributions took bigger shape when Milaap, a crowdfunding platform, was approached to raise resources.
Slowly everyone pitched in and made efforts to get their family and friends to contribute to the cause and collected so far almost Rs.7.82 Lakh.
We are extremely grateful to all the financial donors who have donated to this cause over the past 2 months.
All this would not have been possible without the support from both senior and junior PMCH alumni and their friends & family both from India and abroad. .
On the ground a well renowned 23 years old NGO called Koshish is being used for distribution activity.
This is an interim report of the work and distribution of the resources that is constantly being monitored and guided by some of our active members who feel so committed for the cause.
