“Every dream will be challenged!”

We have overcome many obstacles and suffered pain while achieving any meaningful target at Syamantak  “University of Life”. Well, rarely, a dream or goal comes true easily and effortlessly, without delays, problems or hurdles. And the bigger your dreams, the tougher your challenges, the more ambitious your goals, the more likely it is that you will face difficulties on your way towards it.

This summer Syamantak launched its Joint Liability Group “Swayam”, India’s 1st J.L.G of young students.

Wednesday  17th August, 2016 on the auspicious day of Pateti, a Parsi New Year & full moon day of Shravan, Narli Poornima, Syamantak is adding another feather in its cap by Launching ONLINE STORE of “SWAYAM”.

Our online store is efforts of all the dedicated Syamantak interns who have worked passionately to accomplish this dream. It’s an in-house developed on-line store at Dhamapur village.

We greatly appreciate and look forward to your continued support.

engineering-eye@ Syamantak Dhamapur University of Life...We are getting ready for the monsoonThanks to all the Donors and Milaap who facilitated us in fund raising campaign. With funds raised we are able to manage with the expenses for monsoon maintenance in our 80 years old structure. We also managed to initiate India's first Join-Liability-Group (JLG) of Syamantak intern Students - "SWAYAM". This year start-up of University of Life - "Swayam" made sales of Rs. 40,000 within 3 days at the Kokan Fruit Festival@Goa from bi-products of neglected fruits and flowers developed at University of Life. We also won prize for our Red Hibiscus Syrup and pickles for the third consecutive year. The resident interns not just made sales but also provided training to the marginal farmers and women group. Three J.L.G groups were formed and were given training on product development, packaging, marketing and licensing support. Fruit & Flower Festival of Moti Talav - 2016 was organised by University of Life in collaboration with Sawantwadi Municipal corporation. Each J.L.G group made sales of 40-60 thousand in the fest. Fungus technology training was organised with Organic Farmers group. This year we are also focused to start "Soap Kitchen" at "Swayam" to make exclusive hand-craft soaps from various butters and oils in Konkan. Thanks you Milaap

Dear Friends,
Greetings from "University of Life" (Formerly known as "School Without Walls")

We would like to Thank all our well-wishers who have overwhelmingly contributed to our fundraising campaign. Thanks to Milap and their impact partner who have offered us to match all donations made on our campaign page. This means for every rupee you contributed Milaap's impact partner will contribute another rupee- thereby giving us 2X amount. This will help us boost our sustainable development and open learning projects at University of Life,a real life education center of Syamantak.

Monsoon are near and it rains like cats and dogs in Konkan region. We would like to raise some more funds for repairing of our traditional roof through this campaign. We are expecting to raise Rs. 60,000 and same amount will be contributed by Milap's impact partner making the total contribution to Rs. 1,20,000. This shall facilitate us to initiate a joint liability group (JLG) of Syamantak interns this year. The amount raised will be used for community work and research in Bio-culture compress block project, Solar dehydrator & Natural food techniques project benefiting Syamantak organisation, marginal farmers and village women's group in the nearby villages.
