Overcoming the second COVID wave!
Kat-Katha's Field Team in collaboration with Delhi police distributed 1600+ kgs LPG cooking fuel to more than 500 families in the month of June.
Free health camp was organized at GB Road by Kat-Katha with Delhi Police and the specialist doctors & members from DoctorsForYou Foundation. More than 100 women were consulted in this camp that mainly tested for blood pressure, stomach, diabetes and other seasonal diseases.
The community of sex workers and their children at GB Road are still struggling with the economic crisis. The increasing uncertainty has also resulted in deep emotional duress. We continue to serve at GB Road to reduce the impact of the aftermath of the second wave with multiple distribution drives and health camps. We need your support and love to help the community!

COVID-19 Relief Drive GB Road | 23rd May 2021
The devastating second wave made the situation worse for the women and children living in brothels of GB Road, Delhi. Our field team examined the situation and identified the brothels in urgent need of basic life essentials.
With the support of Delhi Police, MCKS Food For The Hungry Foundation, Delhi, Rotaract District Organisation RID 3012, Innerwheel Civil Lines, and Sparrow Life Care, we provided relief to the community. Our field warriors (women from GB Road) with SI Kiran Sethi and Delhi Police officials distributed more than 200 ration kits (3600 kgs), 250+ hand sanitizers, 250+ sanitary napkins, 250+ Vitamin C tablets, and 500+ N95 masks to more than 250 families across 10+ brothels.
It was a dream for us to see our warrior didis taking the lead from planning to execution. We plan to conduct another ration drive and LPG distribution in coming weeks. During these tough times when women have no means to sustain their families, Kat-Katha has been striving to provide alternate livelihood support to many women.
