Hi there,

We would like to thank you for your contribution to ‘Feed the Daily Wager’. It’s been a tremendous journey so far and we have already distributed 430,976 ration kits in over 38 cities.

These kits are being responsibly distributed to the daily wager community through local NGOs, district administrations and volunteers across these cities. A strong focus has been to maintain social distancing.

Dear donors,

It has been over a week since we started with ‘Feed the Daily Wager’ and we would like to let you know about the progress so far.

We’ve been able to raise a total of ₹22 crores so far, largely through individual donors. We have been able to distribute over 100,000 kits in more than 20 cities spanning across all metros and smaller cities like Patna, Jhansi, Guwahati, Dehradun and others. Through the next week, we plan to expand our supply chain to more cities in India.

Each ration kit that we distribute is good for a family of five people for a week – that means that these 100,000 ration kits translate to about 1 crore meals (10 million meals = 100,000 * 7 days * 3 times a day * 5 family members).

This has been possible through the tireless efforts of our implementation partners and volunteers and support of partners like Big Bazaar, Grofers, Walmart and METRO Cash & Carry – amongst others.

How are we distributing these ration kits?

We have partnered with local NGOs, district administrations and volunteers across these cities to help us distribute ration kits responsibly while adhering to the social distancing norms, to ensure safety of volunteers and beneficiaries.
