Dear Co-Travellers,

Through your support we have supported more than 700 families reaching close to 3500 people. We would continue to need your support as people will soon will be needing more support as the lockdown continues. We are also planning to do a massive health awareness campaign as there is so little information in the areas we work. As a result of this there is lot of anxiety and fear. This keeps them away from consulting doctors or going to Primary health centres for regular checkups . Pregnant women need's support, or people will symptoms of malaria or TB need to get checked at PHC. Through the massive health awareness we would like to support them in reaching PHC for their check up.

In Gratitude.

Dear Friends and Well wishers,

As shared in my last update, our approach has been to work in partnership with the government and support in the distributing the ration to the last mile. We have been topping up and complementing the government efforts. Our team visits each household, gets list of people and share it with government. The government provides us with the ration and we facilitate the distribution. Until now we have facilitated distribution of ration to close to 180 families.

We  also realised we need to reach out to more families,  the other need we have identified has been building awareness around the COVID-19. There has been mis- information around the same. This makes working around and bringing behavioural change more difficult. This will require transport support from our side

Moving ahead we have requested Milaap to transfer the funds we have raised so far i.e Rs 139419. We will be utilising this money towards providing direct ration support to the most vulnerable, building awareness in the community through reaching out to every household, sharing Information pamphlet towards sharing health related information due to COVID-19.

I am writing this to share deepest gratitude towards everyone who contributed to this campaign. We are working hard to ensure every support reaches to the most vulnerable families.

We look forward for your continued support  as we are still far from our target.

We will keep you updated on the the progress we would be making through your support. We are tracking the support through an app so we can give them continued support based on the last date when they got ration. Families will requires ration support again after 10 -15 days and this app will helps us keep track of that.
Sharing a picture from the ground. We purposefully don't take picture of food distribution as we feel they have the first right on the ration.

In gratitude,
Kshamtalaya

PS: We are extending the timeline for the fundraiser as we are in need of more support for the reason we have shared earlier in this message

Dear friends and well-wishers,

Thanks to each one of you for your generous support. We have already started reaching out to families in need of partnering with the local government and NGOs. Our approach has been to reach out to the most vulnerable and support them leverage the government support and places where we feel it will take the time or if they don't fall under schemes, we have been providing them ration directly as per need on the spot. We will continue to do so.

We have also created an app to ensure we are able to track to ensure sustained support and secondly to avoid duplicity.

Through this approach, we have reached close to 75 plus families and supported 49 of them to get ration either through government or directly if required.

We will start delivering the dry ration to the most vulnerable directly as we don't have anything budgeted as of now.

The reason for extending the end date for this campaign is we are still far from our goal and we need this money to ensure we are able to support maximum families during this crisis.

Few photos from the field are attached.
