Hello all,

Surgery was postponed today due to low levels of pulmonary function test (PFT).

The doctor's advised to repeat the PFT test tomorrow to confirm the correct functioning of the Lung. After the test only they interpret the functioning and advise surgeons to proceed with further steps.

I'll keep posting updates.

Hello all
Yesterday we have met Dr. Bala Subramoniam K R for Surgery Purpose.
He had checked all reports of My sister .
1) Right Upper Lobe and Lower Lobe totally blocked with thick secretions and air fluid is present
2) Both RML and RLL Lobes has to be removed through surgical procedure and it is very critical surgery for almost 6-7 hours of duration
3) Prior 3 days admission before surgery require for treatment with antibiotics
and tests are necessary like ABG,PFT etc. to diagnose Lung working because total right lung Middle & Lower lobes abscess .

 We admit her Wednesday prior 3 days before to surgery .Post surgery 5 days to 1 week  require for observation.
Total surgery amount was approx 9-10 Lakhs

Hello  everyone,

My sincere apologies for not being able to share any more updates since the last post.

My sister's health was recovering somewhat and we consult  Doctor couple of times in Vijayawada and Hyderabad too.

On 17.03.2020 we met senior pulmonologist in Hyderabad for further treatment and he asked us to hold for some time and suggest some medications and tests chest x-ray, serum IgE, CBP and come up with these reports Monday or Tuesday for further information regarding surgery.

After that State and Central Wise Lock down imposed and all hospitals are filled with Covid Patients. Doctors advised not to take infectious patient outside because they affected faster than normal people with covid and sister was  taking antibiotics and Supplemented with O2 therapy for 18 hours daily.

 This year in may again sister was again affected with infection in left lung admitted in Kamineni hospital.

After many  tests and CT Scan below report they gave
1)Cystic Bronchiectasis with air fluid level in right lower lobe.
2)Cylindrical and Varicose Bronchiectasis in right middle Lobe.
3) Bloody Sputum Hemoptysis.

they gave high antibiotics through IV infusion for a week and she was recovered . At that time they advised to go for surgery immediately( Removed damaged Part)  or else it affects other organs and also frequently infections can occur along with fever cold  and bloody sputum(hemoptysis).

We gone to Yashoda hospitals few days back and sister current health condition was checked by Senior Pulmonolgist. He advised for bronchoscopy for further screening&  examinations and investigations with thoracic surgeon.

They told that right lung Middle Lobe major blocked with thick  Secretions and Bronchi become narrow and fluid and air level noticed in Right Lower Lobe and Left lower Lobe Pneumonia results in severe respiratory and heart problems in future.
 This should be removed only by Surgery(damaged lobe removed by Surgical- lobectomy) VATS at the earliest.

Doctors have given an estimate of Rs.4-5 lakhs for the surgery only.The medicines will have to be purchased separately .The final bill and cost of the drugs will however vary with the duration of stay in the ICU. Any  complication which occur post operation may result in increased expenditure.
So we need 7-8 lakhs approximately for her treatment and surgery.

Till now we spend more than 9 lakhs in 20-21 and  and spent everything we have, for her treatment.Now we need the amount for her surgery and treatments because now we cannot afford the surgery and treatment expenditures.

Doctor's had said that if his lung Block&bleeds again,that condition will be fatal .If the surgery didn't performed early then her condition will worsen.
With the surgery and treatment my sister has a very good chance of getting better.
