Dear Supporters,

Thank you again very very much.

We have now completed the first round of donations and we couldn't be happier. We have provided over 25,000 meals and your support has been truly incredible.

I am now withdrawing the funds to my account. The money was used on rice, flour, and vegetables for our chabbeel. Rice is also being donated monthly to the local organizations that we are supporting.

Regards

Dear Supporters,

I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your generous donation and support in the Food for All initiative -- this started as a small idea in 2016 and in just one year it grew much bigger than I could have ever hoped. This year, we raised over US$5000 in 4 months and have had the opportunity to do some pretty cool things!

In the summer of 2017, we distributed close to 12,000 meals! This was been done through 3 channels: our annual free food stall (chabbeel), providing 500kg of rice and 200kg of atta (wheat flour) to an organisation called Saadi Rasoi (an initiative that provides meals for 10 Rs. to labourers), and donations of 200kgs of foodstuffs to Ludhiana's Leprosy Colony.

Our chabbeel served kulcha (pita) with aloo chole (potato and chickpea curry) with several cold drink options: mango milk, strawberry milk, khus milk, and jaljeera. We are grateful to the community for their continued support and served approximately 5000 meals and 1500Litres of drink over a 6 1/2 hour period.

Food for All has committed to a 1 year partnership with Saadi Rasoi; an initiative of the Ann-Jal Sewa Trust to provide them 100kg of rice (850 meals worth) monthly alongside the lumpsome 700kg foodstuffs donation made in July this year. It is our hope that with your support we can continue our work with them as they grow and aid their project further.

This year, Food for All will also send US$1500 to the LaValla school for the severely physically handicapped in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I have been involved with the cause for the past 8 years and volunteered in the school for a month last year. Our donation will be used exclusively for food and cover the cost of 3,300 meals (out of their annual 102,000 meals). These meals are extremely substantial and are provided to the students thrice daily.

Again, I want to express my gratitude and hope that you continue to support me as this grows.

I also wanted to share an article that was written about the project: https://www.freshu.io/sanjana-lahiri/how-one-student-is-using-his-gap-year-to-make-a-difference
