Dear Supporters and Well-Wishers,

Pravallika been showing steady improvement post transplant.  Biopsy report has come negative for GVHD(Graft vs Host Disease). Though nausea and vomiting have reduced, she is still having occasional vomitings due to the medications she is taking post transplant. Her appetite has improved and is able to eat food though in little quantities.

Though her  WBC and platelets counts are stable there is higher risk of infections in the initial 3 months till an year post transplant due to the Immunosuppression drugs that she has to take to prevent GVHD. So weekly follow up and blood tests are being done to monitor the WBC Counts and the overall response to the transplant.

Considering the complications post Brentux, she tolerated fairly the chemo induced side effects and post transplant complications. We are hoping she will improve and be back to her earlier strength very soon.

We thank again for the huge support you given us without which this would not have been possible.

Thank You!!!

Dear Supporters and Well-Wishers,

Pravallika's WBC and platelet have improved to safe levels. Throat mucositis, body pains, fever have subsided.

But she still has nausea, vomitings, and loose stools. The doctors are suspecting GVHD (Graft vs Host disease), so planning for a rectal biopsy today. If the report confirms GVHD, then she will be treated with steroids.

Due to nausea, she is unable to take much food orally, so she is still being supported with IV fluids. The discharge will be planned after nausea and diarrhea get controlled. Hoping she will recover soon. We will keep you posted.

Thanks again for your support and wishes for Pravallika. Please do pray for her health.

Dear Supporters,

Stem cell transplant happened for Pravallika on 27th of July. Stem cells were collected from Divya and transfused the same day.

Her general condition is weak with frequent fever, nausea, headache and body pains.  These are expected post transplant since the WBC counts (100) and platelets are low due to the conditioning chemo. She developed severe mucositis making her difficult to take food orally. She is being supported with TPN supplements.

Doctors are closely monitoring for any infections and also the functioning of kidneys and liver considering the injury she had earlier due to Brentux.

Engraftment(of the donor cells) generally happens from day 12 to day 14  post the transplant, once started can see a gradual rise in the WBC and platelets thereby improving the immunity and her general condition.

Hoping she will start recovering soon with engraftment of the new cells.

Thanks again for the support and wishes you have given for Pravallika.
