Dear All, As I had updated earlier Veena was admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi. After undergoing the 1st phase of the Chemotherapy she was kept at the hospital for a few days under observation. There were after effects of the treatment, but she managed well and was released from the Hospital and advised phase 2 of the therapy after 28days. She was taken home, but the side effects continued. All adviced medication was followed. Meanwhile, as you all know, the COVID 19 pandamic fell across the whole world and our country has not been spared too. Hospitals has been taken over by the Government to provide beds to symptomatic patients and isolation wards have been created in many government and private hospitals. This has impeded treatment of Veena and we had again to search for a hospital where the next dose of the Chemo could be administered. There were challenges in getting doctors, ambulances and hospitals, but by God's grace, JAYPEE Hopsital authorities in NOIDA, UP relented on several requests to take up the case of Veena. She was taken there by own means and finally the treatment happened there where she was administered the 2nd dose of the course. She has been released from the hospital and taken back home and is still coming to terms with after effects of the dose. Her normal medication is on, though health conditions are challenging . Please keep the prayers going , as that's the only hope. Meanwhile, some special tests conducted by AIIMS on old samples and blocks that were previously tested in BL Kapoor and Rajiv Gandhi Hospitals, revealed CD-30 Negative at AIIMS.

There is a quick update about Veena. There are a few reports and tests being conducted again by AIIMS, specially the CD 30 Test.
Doctors at AIIMS had asked for blocks of old bone marrow samples from BL Kapoor and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Research centre. Though the CD 30 Report from the latter, re-tested at AIIMS lab has given NEGATIVE report, doctors are still testing the BL Kapoor samples.
Meanwhile, a light chemo has again started at AIIMS on Veena and another 5 doses are yet to be administered, doctors are keeping a close watch on her. Though, as informed by the doctors, miracles has to happen, we are still hopefull !

Veena is admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi on 21st Feb 2020 under a team of Doctors led by Dr. Mohapatra. Doctors are reviewing her status, which is grim. We all hope for her fast recovery.
